D-BOX Technologies Announces New Deal with Emagine Entertainment
Three More Auditoriums in Michigan to Install D-BOX, Emagine Novi Theatre First in the World to Feature Two D-BOX Auditoriums
LONGUEUIL, QC, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - D-BOX Technologies Inc. (DBO.A on the TSX Venture Exchange), a leader in innovative motion technology for the entertainment industry, announced today a new agreement with Emagine En
tertainment to equip three auditoriums within two of its movie theatres with D-BOX MFX seats.
The new Emagine Rochester Hills, scheduled to open later this fall, and Emagine Novi will both feature the ground-breaking entertainment of D-BOX motion technology just in time for this year's holiday movie blockbusters. The Novi, Mich. location will be the first theatre worldwide to have the capabilities to screen two new movie releases at the same time featuring D-BOX Motion Code™. This allows the theatres to screen these films for longer periods of time while offering moviegoers more opportunity to live the action of each D-BOX embedded picture.
"This is a great achievement for D-BOX," said President and Chief Executive Officer of D-BOX Technologies, Claude Mc Master. "As we continue to provide more and more exciting movie content from the studios, Emagine Novi will be the first to offer more than one D-BOX movie. This is a giant step toward our company's expansion plans and we're proud to make this announcement with Emagine Entertainment."
With the addition of Rochester Hills and Novi, Emagine will have four locations in Michigan equipped with D-BOX motion technology.
"We are thrilled with the turnout we've experienced so far and it only made business sense to add more theatres with D-BOX motion systems" said Paul Glantz founder and owner of Emagine Entertainment.
