Cynthia A. Banker, D.D.S., M.A. is recognized by Continental Who's Who

SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Who's Who recognizes Cynthia A. Banker, D.D.S., M.A. as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the Dentistry field.  

Dr. Banker operates San Pedro North Pediatric Dental, her own pediatric dental practice in San Antonio, Texas. She has been in practice for 34 years.

Before starting her practice, Dr. Banker knew that she wanted to help children and coupled that desire with her interest in dentistry. She also brings expertise in higher education and practice management, as well as her compassionate nature, to her practice.

"I'm concerned, first and foremost, with the interest of the patient," Dr. Banker said.

Dr. Banker earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Texas Tech University. She went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Higher Education from the University of Texas – San Antonio and then her Dentistry degree from the University of Texas Health Center of San Antonio.

In addition to operating her practice, Dr. Banker has taught as a Clinical Assistant Professor and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at her alma mater, the University of Texas Health Center of San Antonio.

To further her professional development, Dr. Banker is a member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has also contributed to several dental journals on topics including dental arch characteristics in children, and has written a book chapter on dental radiology. 

When asked for her advice to young people looking to enter the dentistry profession, Dr. Banker states to "work hard and have a positive attitude" and "always have the best interest of the patient at heart."

In her time away from work, Dr. Banker enjoys various outdoor activities, traveling and spending time with her husband of 36 years, Dr. Brett Mueller – who runs the practice with Dr. Banker.
