Cynergy Data CEO Kim Fitzsimmons Joins SignatureLink Board of Advisors
RIDGELAND, Miss., Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- eCommerce stabilizer SignatureLink, Inc. (http://www.signaturelink.com) has added a noted payments industry leader to its Board of Advisors. Kim Fitzsimmons, CEO of Cynergy Data, LLC, will lend her payments services expertise to the SignatureLink executive team.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Fitzsimmons to the SignatureLink Board of Advisors," stated SignatureLink CEO Greg Wooten. "She is a dynamic, results-driven industry leader whose depth of knowledge and experience in payments services will be paramount as SignatureLink continues to introduce and refine SecureBuy™, our eCommerce-stabilizing technology."
Fitzsimmons began her career in the payments industry nearly 25 years ago when she joined the sales team at card processor Concord EFS, Inc. after earning her BA in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi. She moved swiftly into a leadership role at that company and has since been at the forefront of every major industry expansion -- including PIN-based debit acceptance and the addition of card payment capability to supermarkets and gas stations.
As a manager, Fitzsimmons established herself early on as energetic, well-balanced and results-oriented, with an eye to the future. Her career has spanned one end of the payments spectrum to the other, from her beginnings at Concord to CEO of her own ISO, EFS Card Services, to First Data. While at First Data, Fitzsimmons held positions such as President of First Data Independent Sales and General Manager of First Data Merchant Services and Community Banks and led both acquiring and issuing divisions that were responsible for over $1.4 billion in EBITDA.
Fitzsimmons had been on SignatureLink's radar for some time, said Wooten, due to her leadership role in the payments servicing industry. As SignatureLink entered a new phase of growth with SecureBuy™, the only all-in-one eCommerce fraud solution, the company wanted Fitzsimmons' input on payments-related issues.
"Ms. Fitzsimmons' drive and vision make her a good fit for SignatureLink," said Wooten. "We look forward to working with her to shape the future of eCommerce."
