Cylance® Expands Executive Team to Support Rapid Company Growth
Technology Industry Veterans Join Cylance Executive Team
IRVINE, Calif., March 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cylance, the company that is revolutionizing cybersecurity through the use of artificial intelligence to proactively prevent advanced persistent threats and malware, has announced the expansion of its senior executive team, naming veteran Silicon Valley technology and venture capital lawyer Brady Berg as its General Counsel and veteran human resources executive Vina Leite as its Chief People Officer.
Berg was previously a partner and co-chair of the Venture Capital and Emerging Companies practice group of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo, P.C., where he practiced for nearly ten years and was a founding member of the firm's San Francisco office. Berg, who specializes in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and private and public financings, also practiced for nearly ten years with the Silicon Valley law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. and of the University of California, Los Angeles. Berg has a long and established relationship with Cylance's Founder and CEO Stuart McClure, serving as Cylance's outside general counsel while at Mintz Levin, and previously as outside counsel to McClure's first startup company, Foundstone, while he was at Wilson Sonsini.
With a career in the technology industry spanning over 20 years, Leite was most recently the Senior Vice President/Chief Human Resources Officer at QLogic. Previous leadership positions include acting as the Vice President of Human Resources at EMC, as well as Director of Human Resources at RSA, the security division of EMC.
"I'm thrilled to have Brady and Vina join us as full-time members of the Cylance family," McClure said. "They are already valuable members of our team and their experience will help us scale quickly and grow Cylance into the indisputable market leader in endpoint security."
Berg joins a small, but growing legal department at Cylance that includes cyberlaw veteran Keith Palumbo, who was recently promoted to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Cylance and whose company Skout Forensics was acquired by Cylance in 2012 shortly after Cylance was founded.
