IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Cybernet Manufacturing has recently partnered with both the United Kingdom's national health system and Australia's public health system to become their standard for medical cart computers. Both partnerships are milestone achievements as Cybernet continues to grow their international presence.
Milton Keynes Hospital in the United Kingdom and the New South Wales Public Health System in Australia chose to use the CyberMed NB24 and CyberMed NB22 respectively as their standard computer for their medical cart solutions. The CyberMed NB series are a battery powered, all-in-one medical grade computer that allow both institutions to pair the units with non-powered carts. By having the option to go with a non-powered medical cart both institutions will save hundreds of thousands of dollars on their medical cart projects.
"We developed our NB series of hot-swap battery powered medical computers two years ago because we saw a gap in the market," said Ali Bagheri, Senior VP of Global Operation at Cybernet. "We've had tremendous success with these units both domestically and internationally. Becoming a standard in both the UK and Australian national healthcare systems is a testament to hard work we put in to engineer these products."
Traditionally, medical carts require heavy Lithium iON batteries to power computers, monitors and other devices. But these batteries drain quickly and take several hours to recharge. These carts are also typically four times as expensive as a non-powered cart. By developing a battery powered all-in-one computer, Cybernet Manufacturing eliminated the need for a battery powered cart. Furthermore, the hot-swap technology means that depleted batteries can be changed out on the fly without the need to turn off the computer, leading to 24 hour uptimes – a necessity for hospitals that operate 24/7.
In addition the to 22" and 24" CyberMed NB Series models, Cybernet also offers 20" and 19" versions, as well as a 24" hot swap model with a 4k display. They also offer 22" and 24" hot-swap medical monitors.
