RICHARDSON, Texas, April 12, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Cyber Defense Labs (CDL), a full lifecycle information security service provider helping companies manage, detect and respond to today's cyber risks, announced CDL Co-Founder Michael Saylor as Company President. Saylor and Co-Founder Shawn Tolley (Chief Engineer for CDL) established the Company in 2011 on the principals of customer relationships and quality, and a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration. Saylor is working with the newly appointed executive team to help set out the company growth strategy and leveraging his experience to build out new industry cyber offerings such as Cyber Training and Education services.

Mike possesses over 26 years of diversified business experience, with both domestic and international companies, in Cyber Security, Executive Protection, Intelligence and Investigations, Expert Testimony, Digital Forensics, IT operations, Technology Risk Management and Auditing, and Education and Training disciplines. Mike's experience covers numerous industries, including Energy, Telecom, Financial, Healthcare, Retail and Entertainment, Local and Federal Law enforcement, Manufacturing, Utilities, and Government Municipalities.

In addition to Mike's role at CDL, he is a Fusion Liaison Officer with the North Texas Fusion Center, president emeritus and founding member of the FBI's North Texas Infragard program, a member of the Cyber Crime Committee for the North Texas Crime Commission, member of the US Secret Service's North Texas Electronic Crimes Task Force, and Professor of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics for Collin College. He is a sought-after educator, trainer, and public speaker typically delivering industry updates, focused instructor-lead content, and key note addresses several times a year.

Prior to CDL, Mike was the Vice President of IT for Cornerstone Credit Union League, Director of Threat and Vulnerability Management for PwC, National Director of IT Security Consulting for Accretive Solutions, and Global IT Audit Manager for CitiGroup.

Mike is a licensed private investigator with a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is also the Co-Author of the book Cyber Crime and Cyber Terrorism 4th edition.
