The forum has been organized by PoliticoPro, a news service published by Politico which provides immediate and detailed reporting on the politics of energy, technology and health care. The breakfast briefing will feature National Public Radio Legal Affairs Correspondent Nina Totenberg and four legal experts, including Walter Dellinger of O'Melvey and Myers, LLP; Thomas Goldstein of Goldstein and Russell and publisher of SCOTUSblog; Neal Katyal of Georgetown Law School and Hogan Lovells; and Kevin Walsh of the University of Richmond School of Law. Politico's Josh Gerstein and PoliticoPro's Jennifer Haberkorn will moderate. The Supreme Court arguments in the case begin March 26, four days after the forum.
Troyen A. Brennan, MD, MPH, JD, CVS Caremark executive vice president and chief medical officer, said CVS Caremark is pleased to be sponsoring this timely event less than a week before the Supreme Court takes up arguments.
"The next several years will be a time of enormous change and challenge for all of us in the health care system. We are in the midst of implementing health care reform, even as the Supreme Court gets ready to deliberate. We are looking for ways to find innovative solutions to provide access to care that considers cost and quality. The Supreme Court decision will shape these issues. Their determinations will have far reaching consequences going forward," Brennan said.
