LONDON, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Currys, the UK's leading electrical retailer, will open the doors to a brand new Superstore in Uddingston on 30th April 2010. The store has created 17 new jobs in the local area and offers residents the biggest electrical shopping destination in the area.
The 22580 square foot new Superstore offers the widest range and best selection of electricals from Currys, ensuring a better shopping experience for customers.
New Uddingston Superstore
A family launch event to celebrate the opening of the new store will also be held on Saturday 1st May, with a secret local celebrity on hand to cut the ribbon and celebrate its opening. As well as an appearance from the local fire brigade with a fire engine for kids to play in, there will be a DJ with a sound system outside, face painting for kids and a raffle raising money for local charities, all of which will guarantee a fun, family day out.
The new Superstore showcases over 3607 products including a huge range of LCD TVs, over 64 digital cameras and over 31 MP3/4 players including brands such as Apple and Archos. There are also various styles of washing machines and dishwashers to suit every need throughout the store.
The new Superstore offers customers a 'hands-on' product experience coupled with extended product ranges, which is designed to meet all technology needs. Other services available at the Superstore will include: Next Day Delivery service, which gives customers the option to choose when they have their product delivered within a three hour time slot, the award-winning WEEE recycling scheme and the option to reserve goods online for collection in-store.

The Uddingston Superstore is part of an ongoing Currys refurbishment programme across the country.
