Curae Health Selects MEDHOST Enterprise Clinical and Financial Solutions, and Perioperative Information Management System
MEDHOST's deep understanding of rural health challenges will help Curae Health gain clinical, operational, and financial successes
FRANKLIN, Tenn., Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MEDHOST, Inc., a provider of market-leading enterprise, departmental and healthcare engagement solutions, announced today that Curae Health, Knoxville, Tennessee, has selected MEDHOST clinical and financial solutions, including MEDHOST Physician Experience and Perioperative Information Management System (PIMS), for two of its hospitals in Amory, Mississippi, and Batesville, Mississippi.
Curae Health owns and operates five not‐for‐profit hospitals located in Alabama and Mississippi, and three of these hospitals are already using MEDHOST solutions. Curae Health selected MEDHOST based on their positive experience with MEDHOST support, user experience, and successful implementations at their three hospitals along with MEDHOST's scalable solutions to help streamline corporate standards as additional facilities are added.
Curae Health plans to go live with all MEDHOST Enterprise applications as well as the PIMS on the MEDHOST Direct hosted platform in the first half of 2018. Both facilities will continue to leverage MEDHOST Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) and the MEDHOST YourCareCommunity patient portal.
"We were looking for scalable and quality clinical solutions for our newly acquired facilities, and we needed a partner that truly understands the challenges of a rural health system," said Steve Clapp, President and CEO of Curae Health. "Curae Health has had a really positive experience with MEDHOST in our other facilities. MEDHOST has shown itself as a strong partner for us as we grow our business in serving the needs of our rural communities."
"In this evolving healthcare environment, for rural health systems, it is no longer an option to find a fully integrated healthcare solutions partner so they can enhance their clinical and financial performance," said Bill Anderson, chairman and CEO of MEDHOST. "Curae Health understands that the power of healthcare technology can help rural health facilities succeed, and we're very pleased to partner with them on the solutions they require to achieve these goals."
