Iconic Retailer Celebrates Expansion to New Florida Market by Hosting a Ribbon-Cutting Event and Monthly Fundraiser for Four Community Organizations
FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Oct. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cumberland Farms, a leading convenience, gasoline, and coffee retailer, today announced that it has opened four brand new concept store locations in Central Florida over the last several weeks. The brand currently owns and operates nearly 50 stores throughout Florida, and the four new stores in Brevard County will mark the first in the central region of the state.
Cumberland Farms is continuing to transform its stores by bringing a new look and feel to its nearly 600 retail locations throughout the Northeast and Florida. The multiyear remodeling initiative, which began in 2009, includes a major overhaul of all of the brand's stores by incorporating a modernized architecture and design, new food items like pizza, fried favorites, and hot sandwiches - as well as upgrades like additional square footage, high-top bar counters, outdoor patio seating, and an increased number of parking spaces and gas pumps.
"Cumberland Farms has served communities in Florida since the 1970's, and our customer loyalty and demand for the brand has continued to grow," said Ari Haseotes, CEO of Cumberland Farms. "We are excited to have expanded the brand's presence to a new region in Florida with our new concept stores, in addition to giving back to community organizations in the process."
To celebrate the brand's expansion to Central Florida, Cumberland Farms will host a ribbon-cutting event at each new store location throughout the week of October 26th that will kick-off a four-week fundraiser for a community organization. During the four weeks after each event, 10 cents from every dispensed beverage purchased at the new store location will go directly to the store's partnered community organization.
