Cubs And Cardinals Fans Win With Travel Discount
CHICAGO, Oct. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- It's a home run for Cubs and Cardinals fans traveling between Chicago and St. Louis for the division series. Loyalists can get a 20% discount on airport transportation in both cities, which leaves more money for hot dogs and foam fingers to cheer on their team.
The discounts come from GO Airport Express and GO Best Express, both members of The GO Group, a consortium of airport transportation companies. Reservations must be made here for Chicago and here for St. Louis.
The two companies, which are collaborating on the offer, also have a friendly side wager going. It's Chicago deep-dish pizzas vs. beer from St. Louis-based Anheuser Busch to the winner.
"Regardless of the outcome on the field, we want the fans to be winners," says Kim Garner, president of GO Best Express, who initiated the promotion.
The series kicks off in St. Louis, with games on Friday and Saturday. Monday and Tuesday's games will be in Chicago. If necessary, there will be a final game on October 15 in St. Louis.
The GO Group, is the largest airport ground transportation company in the nation, serving some 60 airports around the world.
