SYDNEY, Dec. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, today announced that CUA®, Australia's largest customer-owned financial institution, has deployed Good for Enterprise® (GFE) to secure a fleet of approximately 400 company-owned and bring-your-own (BYO) smartphones and tablets. CUA chose Good Technology due to its solution's superior security credentials and containerised approach, separating corporate and personal data.

CUA is Australia's largest customer-owned financial institution, providing an extensive range of everyday banking products and services to over 400,000 customers across the country. The company has a national presence through 60 branches across Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Western Australia.
Prior to implementing Good for Enterprise, CUA was using a combination of BlackBerry® devices and IBM® Notes Traveller push email software. CUA elected to discontinue corporate support for BlackBerry devices, uninstalling its BlackBerry Enterprise Server and migrating from Traveller to GFE for enhanced security and functionality, such as secure browser access.
"Security credentials were absolutely key for us," commented David Gee, CIO at CUA. "As a retail financial institution, we need to have the trust of our 400,000 customers and therefore cannot compromise on security at all. With Good, we have a very robust and secure platform for mobile collaboration and, looking towards the future, mobile productivity applications."
Over the past 18 months, CUA has been investing in the development of new 'branch of the future' retail locations. These branches incorporate new technology including iPads for customers to play, learn, explore and transact securely thanks to the devices being secured by Good Technology's mobility solution.
CUA is using Good for Enterprise to secure a mobile fleet of around 400 tablets and mobile phones, with iOS representing around 70 percent, Android™ 15 percent and a mix of OS X® and Windows® making up the remainder.
"Good's containerised architecture and unparalleled security credentials make it very well suited to highly regulated and compliance-oriented industries, such as financial services," said Gavin Jones, Vice President and General Manager for Good in ANZ. "For organisations like CUA, delivering a highly secure platform is the key foundational piece of a mobile strategy. Only once this is in place can an organisation then begin to realise the collaboration and productivity gains possible, with workers truly untethered from their workstations but able to access all of the applications that enable them to do their jobs effectively."
Good for Enterprise is the only mobile messaging solution for iOS and Android that is Common Criteria EAL-4+ certified and which uses FIPS 140-2 validated encryption.
Good Technology recently announced a new GFE licensing model and current promotional price of USD$5 per user, per month.
