Women Leadership Event Is Close To Reaching Its Financial Goals For This Year's WILD Summit
BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Women's Council, part of CU's Leeds School of Business, today announced it has secured 25 top organizations as supporters for this year's Women Inspiring Leadership Development (WILD) Summit. So far, more than 25 organizations have either made financial contributions or donated their time and service offerings in support of the one-day leadership event which will be held on April 10, 2015 at the new Marriott Hotel and Convention Center (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/denmw-denver-marriott-westminster/) in Westminster. In addition, registration for the one-day event opened officially last week. Interested participants are encouraged to register early as the WILD Summit III is limited to only 500 attendees and is expected to quickly sell out. "The enthusiasm and excitement around this year's event is contagious," said Jane Miller, past CEO of Rudi's Organics Bakery and founder/CEO of JaneKnows.com and chair of this year's underwriting committee for WILD III. "We have such a fantastic community of supporters here in Colorado that really believe in what WILD is all about. We are so proud to have so many stellar companies supporting our cause."
Underwriting of WILD III helps support not only the costs of putting on the event, but also helps defray registration costs for students, allows the conference organizers to attract stellar speakers to share their stories and experiences, and also enables the CU Women's Council to generously give back to the Leeds School of Business for scholarships and other student costs throughout the year. In 2014, the Women's Council contributed $35,000 to the Leeds School of Business.
"We are so fortunate to have such believers in WILD. Our supporters are incredible and help us make every year's event better than the last," explained Cindy Carrillo, event chair for WILD III. "Because of them, we are proud to say that the WILD Summit is one of the premier women leadership events in the region."
