Sponsored by CO-OP Financial Services, the inaugural event took place in March during the CUNA Government Affairs Conference. Building on the success of this event which tackled career development, the second event will take place June 18th in San Diego during CUNA's America's Credit Union Conference. The topic focuses on technology and how young professionals can help steer their credit unions in the right direction for the future.
"Younger credit union professionals sometimes have an idea for a beneficial product or service for the credit union and its members but aren't sure how to bring it to fruition," said Editor-in-Chief Sarah Snell Cooke. "Particularly banking technology is taking off and getting on board isn't even a question if credit unions are to compete with the traditional and nontraditional service providers out there."
San Diego's event features an expert panel including Geoff Knapp, Vice President of Fiserv's digital channels division, and Caroline Lane, Vice President of Business Development & Marketing for CO-OP Financial Services.
"We're very pleased to offer this session identifying the threats, risks and rewards of banking on technology and how to make it happen at your credit union," said Cooke.
