TORONTO, June 3, 2015 /CNW/ - CTV announced today new season orders for its roster of hit original daily series. Canada's most-watched entertainment news program ETALK receives a 14th season order, while the #1 and #2 Canadian lifestyle series in the country, THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW and buzzworthy talk series THE SOCIAL, are renewed for a sixth and third season respectively. All series have seen double-digit growth versus the same time last year not only with total viewers, but in all the key adult demos. The fan-favourite and advertiser-friendly series head into their new seasons this September.
"When it comes to original entertainment news and lifestyle programming, Canadian viewers turn to CTV," said Phil King, President – CTV, Sports, and Entertainment Programming. "Staples of CTV's hit primetime and daytime schedules, ETALK, THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW, and THE SOCIAL are home-grown success stories, earning high ratings from their respective loyal viewers."
CTV and CTV Two have more female reach and viewing during the day than Top 5 specialty female channels, data from Numeris (BBM Canada) confirms.*
"All three series provide unlimited and versatile opportunities for our advertising partners," said Perry MacDonald, Senior Vice-President, CTV Sales. "The show formats allow us to work collaboratively to customize sales opportunities, which lead to perfect on-air brand integrations."
