CTIA-The Wireless Association® Statement on the Middle Class Tax Relief & Job Creation Act

WASHINGTON, Dec. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, the U.S. House Republican leadership released the Middle Class Tax Relief & Job Creation Act, which will be voted on next week. Following release of the legislation, CTIA-The Wireless Association® President and CEO Steve Largent said:

"CTIA applauds introduction of the Middle Class Tax Relief & Job Creation Act. The spectrum provisions in the bill will make a substantial down-payment toward alleviating the looming spectrum crisis. At the same time, the bonus depreciation provisions will encourage the deployment of additional wireless infrastructure. Both of these initiatives are critically important and will help encourage the continued growth of, and investment in, the U.S. so we remain the world's leading wireless market. We urge Congress to get these measures enacted before they leave town for the year."
