CTIA Announces Startup Throw Down Winners at CTIA 2013™

LAS VEGAS, May 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CTIA–The Wireless Association® today held its first-ever Wireless Innovation Open Mic "Startup Throw Down," as part of the Thought Leadership Conference CTIA 2013™ at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Designed as an opportunity to showcase the innovative and disruptive startups, the Throw Down began with a lighting round of 13 companies who were each given one minute to present. After the lighting round, audience members voted via text for five finalists and each gave a five-minute presentation on their technology or innovation. Following the finalist presentations the audience texted in their votes for the overall Throw Down winner.
