FALLS CHURCH, Va., Aug. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CSRA Inc. (NYSE: CSRA) announced today it has become one of the first systems integrators to add Microsoft Azure products and services under General Services Administration (GSA) IT Schedule 70. It is now listed under the Cloud Computing Services Special Item Number (SIN) 132-40. Microsoft is a CSRA Strategic Alliance Partner, a relationship that enables CSRA to deliver solutions on the Microsoft cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
"By achieving GSA Schedule 70 certification, CSRA becomes one of the first systems integrators to provide Microsoft Azure products across the federal government," said George Batsakis, CSRA's Executive Vice President for Growth. "This will dramatically expand our offerings and allow our customers across all federal agencies to purchase Azure cloud infrastructure as a service."
Greg Myers, Microsoft's Vice President, Federal said, "With CSRA's breadth of expertise in developing unique solutions for federal programs, we believe this development will make it easier for federal agencies to access all that the Microsoft Cloud has to offer. We are excited to see CSRA include Microsoft technologies on their GSA Schedule."
Azure is one of the most secure federal cloud offerings available in the market. It meets Department of Defense (DoD) requirements for Impact Level 4 and 5 with multiple regions within the United States. Microsoft currently has two defense-only regions and four Azure government data centers across the United States.
CSRA has added Azure for all GovCloud regions. Federal customers can now buy full cycle cloud services from CSRA using GSA's IT Schedule 70. GSA's Cloud SIN 132-40 was created to provide federal agencies with faster access to high-demand cloud solutions. GSA IT Schedule 70 is the largest, most widely-used acquisition vehicle across the federal government.
CSRA is a Gold Partner in the Microsoft Partner Network. CSRA recently became the first government system integrator to migrate its own workloads to the Azure Government cloud platform. Earlier this year, CSRA announced the signing of a three-year Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft to enable CSRA to utilize Microsoft's products, such as Office 365 for Government Contractors, and the Azure Government Cloud platform.
