HONG KONG, April 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CSOS (Shenzhen CSOS Assistance Co., Ltd, "the Company") is pleased to announce that the Company officially launches the new Guangdong-Hong Kong "999" Emergency Assistance Membership Programme, which offers "One-Stop" solutions specifically developed for its members who are Hong Kong residents in Guangdong Province ("Guangdong"). Once the members encounter any medical emergency, CSOS will send its internationalized medical crews to repatriate the patients promptly to any hospital in Hong Kong from their treating hospitals in Guangdong in a Bed-to-Bed mode within 30 minutes. The Company's ambulances are fully equipped with specialized emergency devices and medical crews who have Hong Kong and international qualifications, to ensure the safety of patients during transit. It not only reduces huge amount of medical expenses that may be incurred in PRC, but also saves the time and costs on traveling of their family.
Established in 1998, CSOS has over 15 years of professional experience in medical rescue. The Company is one of the few medical service providers which possesses a government-approved license of trans-regional medical evacuations. According to government statistics, nearly 500,000 Hong Kong residents choose to work, travel, or retire in Guangdong every year, including approximately 100,000 retired citizens living in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Dongguan, etc. Due to frequent travels between those various locations, there is an upward trend that Hong Kong people suffer from accidents and sudden illness in PRC. However, there are still big differences in the service quality and price between PRC and Hong Kong hospitals.
In order to assist Hong Kong residents to address the medical emergencies they may encounter in Guangdong, CSOS launched the new Guangdong-Hong Kong "999" Emergency Assistance Membership Programme. This programme offers tailor-made "One-Stop" solutions for Hong Kong residents in Guangdong. The patients will be transited from their treating hospitals in Guangdong to any hospital (including private hospitals) in Hong Kong by professional medical crews in a Bed-to-Bed mode.
Mr Dennis Lu, President and Chief Executive Officer of CSOS, said, "As the first international emergency assistance agency providing cross-border medical assistance services between Guangdong and Hong Kong, the Company has been committed to serve Hong Kong people and to deliver qualified and professional emergency medical rescue services and its integrated service capabilities since 1998. The new membership programme not only reduces the medical expenses that may be incurred in PRC, but also allows patients to return to familiar living environment in Hong Kong and to be served with high-quality medical services. With the increasing number of the elderly of Hong Kong living in PRC, we hope that it can bridge the communication of medical services between Hong Kong and PRC and help more people in need through this programme."
