FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sixty children from the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County were surprised with their own shiny new bicycle and helmet thanks to CSL Plasma. The company is having their annual meeting at the Westin in Fort Lauderdale this week and decided to coordinate a team building event that would also reach out to those less fortunate.
According to Mike Deem, CSL Plasma Vice President U.S. Plasma Operations, "CSL Plasma believes in being committed to the communities where we live and work. Our employees were thrilled to find out that they would be building bicycles for local children of the Boys and Girls Club. It was heartwarming to see the looks on the faces of these children from the Nan Knox Unit. I'm not sure who was more excited and delighted, the children or us!"
For the children of the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, CSL Plasma's generosity is one that they will remember for years to come. For CSL Plasma, giving back to local communities in which they do business is something their 5000+ employees do in the US, Germany and Hungry on a regular basis.
