Crypto Collectible Game, World of Ether, Hits 6 Weeks into Development; Appears with IOTA and NEM
NEW YORK, Feb. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Six weeks ago, the new blockchain game, World of Ether (https://worldofether.com/), released its "Egg Presale" to a community of crypto enthusiasts, hungry for a great game built with blockchain technology.
Now, as the team continues on development, they're appearing with widely known crypto companies such as IOTA and NEM.
Ram Berrouet, World of Ether's Head of Product, spoke last week with representatives from the two companies on a panel, taking attention as he discussed what the next generation of crypto gaming will look like with World of Ether at the forefront.
"Blockchain companies are moving really fast… We don't have to deal with the limitations that many major game studios currently face, so we're free to create and put out radical ideas," Ram said in response to an audience question.
World of Ether is 6 weeks into development of their dapp, with a launch planned at the end of March.
The game released its egg presale on 1/15/18 and sold almost $500,000 of eggs in its first 48 hours.
The eggs can be hatched into monsters upon release of the full game. These monsters can be battled, bred, or sired and sold for real ETH, with substantial advantages added for people who purchase eggs in the presale.
The game is being lauded as highly stylized and one of the only few crypto collectibles to not use procedurally generated art. It's being designed to compete artistically with top mainstream video games.
Two weeks ago it announced its partnership with Coinbase's Toshi, which brought functionality to mobile devices. The partnership is now active.
The game is the first to be translated into Chinese, Russian, Korean, Japanese, French, and Spanish, and is being predicted to help bring crypto to the mainstream.
World of Ether is founded by Alain Goldman, co-founder of the largest Ethereum meetup group in the world, and his brother, Stanley Goldman, who's a senior developer at GitHub. The total World of Ether team has 10 people.
