"We could not be happier to be working with Kirk and John; they are tremendous operators, with decades of experience in the industry. As former CEO and COO of Gold's Gym International, they bring a wealth of knowledge to the Crunch brand," says Jim Rowley, chief executive officer, Crunch. "The Crunch franchise effort is off to an incredible start, and we are very honored to have Kirk and John join our team."
"My brother and I have explored various simplified gym models, and after much consideration, we concluded that the Crunch brand and their twist on the concept to include dynamic group fitness and personal training, is the best fit for us," said Kirk Galiani. "This opportunity gives us the ability to continue to develop our OneLife Fitness sports clubs, as well as open both the higher end Crunch corporate clubs and the Crunch franchise clubs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region."
"Crunch's name recognition, brand awareness and history of amazing group fitness classes and top-notch personal training programs, makes Crunch the ideal chain to work with," said John Galiani. "We are very excited to work with the Crunch and NeV teams, who have accomplished so much in the industry."
The Galianis' first location is a 16,000 square foot renovated movie theater filled with all of the innovative offerings that have made Crunch a leader in the industry. Members will find the gym's world famous group fitness classes, in the two expansive studios, revolutionary fitness equipment, expert personal training, an online fitness and nutrition program, along with Crunch's No Judgments philosophy and quirky, irreverent messaging. An enrollment center is now open at 5215 Wisconsin Ave Washington, DC (202) 621-7622, and a dedicated website, www.crunchdc.com is currently offering exclusive membership deals prior to the club's grand opening.
Kirk and John also own 6 large multi-purpose OneLife Fitness clubs, and look to explore and pursue various fitness and wellness opportunities, while expanding both their collections of OneLife Fitness and Crunch clubs in the Mid-Atlantic region.
