(NASDAQ: CRKN) ("Crown" or the "Company"), a leading smart glass technology company that has developed and is commercializing patented thin-film solutions, today announced the completed acquisition of ten patents from HP, Inc. ("HP"), expanding the Company's intellectual property ("IP") portfolio covering electrokinetic ("EK") technology.

Pursuant to the acquisition agreement, until January 1, 2030, the Company will pay HP a royalty fee based on the cumulative gross revenue received by the Company from the IP portfolio. If cumulative gross revenue is less than $70 million, the royalty rate is 0.0%, from $70-$500 million, the royalty rate is 1.25%, and from $500 million and beyond, the royalty rate is 1.00%. From January 1, 2030 onward, the royalty rate drops to 0.0%.
