What: |
"Creating Capital Channels with Crowdfunding" |
The crowdfunding marketplace is expected to grow to or beyond $300 billion. The Jump Start Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, was passed in 2012 and addresses regulations regarding how investors use crowdfunding. This legislation is a "game-changer" as President Obama said when the bill was passed in 2012 for investors nationwide. The JOBS Act limits the amounts individuals and businesses can invest through crowdfunding, but also deregulates the process, making it easier for small businesses to offer equity to investors and easier for people to become investors. During this webinar, Jason Graf will share his views on the JOBS Act and what it means for crowdfunding and small business. He will also discuss the recently approved Title II 506(c) of the JOBS Act and what the future holds for businesses heavily reliant on social media platforms and the digital age. In addition, Graf will provide an overview of the basics of crowdfunding, how to get involved in this booming industry and what's next for this market. |
