Crossmark's Steward Global Equity Income Fund Receives Three Lipper Awards
Values-based equity fund receives three Lipper Awards for fifth consecutive year
HOUSTON, March 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Crossmark Global Investments, Inc. (Crossmark), is pleased to announce that Refinitiv has awarded the Crossmark Steward Global Equity Income Fund (ticker: SGISX) (the "Fund") with Lipper Fund Awards for Best Global Equity Income Fund in the three-year, five-year, and ten-year performance categories for the period ending 11/30/2018. This marks the fifth consecutive year in which the Fund has received a Lipper Award, and the first time the Fund has been recognized with the 10-year performance award.
The Fund seeks income and long-term capital appreciation by investing in domestic and international dividend paying stocks. It applies a proprietary set of values screens that allow investors to avoid owning securities in companies that choose to profit from businesses that are at odds with values-based investing. The Steward Screens exclude companies materially involved with alcohol, tobacco, gambling, life ethics, and mature content. The same screening process is applied to the five other values-based equity and fixed income funds that together constitute Crossmark's Steward Fund suite.
The Fund was selected for the three-year, five-year and ten-year awards from over 34, 30 and 18 other equity funds, respectively. Of the other funds in the category, the Crossmark Steward Global Equity Income Fund is the only one to screen for socially responsible issues (SRI), highlighting that investors do not need to sacrifice investment returns to align with their values.

The U.S. Lipper Fund Award recognized the Crossmark Steward Global Equity Income Fund (the fund) on March 7th, 2019, for delivering consistently strong risk-adjusted performance relative to its peers for the 3-year, 5-year and 10-year period. The Fund achieved the highest Lipper Leader for Consistent Return (Effective Return Net of Expenses) over an individual time period in its classification. In making their evaluations, Lipper reviews funds based on at least 36 months of performance history at of the end of the calendar year of the respective evaluation year.
