"This technical workshop will tap the insights and expertise of security testing industry experts, along with a live demonstration using the X-Series platform to simulate real-world network security conditions," said Peter Doggart, senior director of global marketing for Crossbeam. "We've found that security professionals are looking for this type of practical know-how and guidance, as they are tasked with the increasingly difficult challenge of deploying scalable, flexible security architectures that can support their move to high-performance data center architectures and private and public clouds."
What: |
In this workshop, attendees will have the chance to hear David Newman, founder of Network Test and a member of Network World's Lab Test Alliance, discuss real-world testing challenges and how to successfully design a test that includes the full range of requirements that impact security performance. Newman will define the metrics that are most critical for security testing and will give an overview of important trends and best practices that he is seeing in the industry today. |
The workshop will also include a live performance test of a Crossbeam X-Series platform using the Spirent Studio solution on Spirent's TestCenter C100, a unified platform that enables best-in-class testing of application performance, mobility and security. The performance test will mimic real-world network conditions as they are put through the X-Series platform with modern security features fully enabled. Attendees will also see a live scaling demonstration using Crossbeam's flagship X80-S platform, illustrating how customers can better adapt to changes in their security requirements. |
