Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Of America Launches Revamped Website Experience For Walk Program
New website will better connect the Take Steps IBD community and offer new ways to engage and inspire patients and families
NEW YORK, Oct. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) unveiled its new digital website experience for one of its signature fundraising programs, Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis. CCFA partnered with Blackbaud, the world's leading cloud software company powering social good, to create a more interactive and engaging experience for participants who can now share their own unique journey online, and connect with other patients and families. The new website can be viewed at www.cctakesteps.org.
"The Take Steps website is the central hub of our signature walk program," said Sherry Rosenfeld, Vice President - Take Steps Campaigns. "We wanted to ensure it represents how important it is for our participants to connect with our walks digitally. This new patient-centric feature offers unique storytelling opportunities that are sure to inspire newly diagnosed patients and their families. The revamped website also spotlights how the funds raised through Take Steps result in our many mission accomplishments, and enables additional research investments, which is an area of critical importance to our participants."
In a nonprofit sector with thousands of organizations and worthy causes, it is imperative that Take Steps continues to stand out in its critical mission work and in its ability to create unique and meaningful experiences for its fundraising participants.
The new Take Steps website design takes into consideration feedback received directly from hundreds of walk participants, coupled with testing feedback from talented designers and developers across the country.
Not only does the website offer exciting new engagement opportunities for participants, it also provides more streamlined processes designed to make participation and fundraising easier than ever. Making it more engaging was necessary to continue the strong fundraising activities needed to achieve CCFA's mission of finding cures for patients living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
"A nonprofit's digital presence is critical to the success of its fundraising activities since so much of the dollars are being fundraised online," said Brian Boruff, president of Blackbaud's Enterprise Markets Group. "Our peer-to-peer fundraising solution, TeamRaiser®, gave them an easy to use, powerful online platform that integrates seamlessly into participant's day-to-day fundraising efforts, and works to connect participants with the larger CCFA community."
The new website is a critical step forward by Take Steps in continuing to support the 1.6 million patients affected by Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Visit the new website at www.cctakesteps.org and register to Take Steps for cures in 2017.
