CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Crescent Communities has been named to the 2015 Inc. Magazine list of the fastest-growing private companies in America, joining an elite group of innovative firms whose previous ranks have included household names like Microsoft, Oracle, Timberland and Chobani.

They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent--not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies--as of December 31, 2014. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.)
