The Bank has pledged USD 100,000 to aid recovery and rebuilding programs in the US and the Bahamas. In addition, the Credit Suisse Americas Foundation (the "Foundation") has launched an emergency fundraising appeal, offering US and Bahamas staff the opportunity to double the impact of their contributions to the American Red Cross and Bahamas Red Cross with a 1:1 match by the Foundation.
"Our staff, their families and the communities in which we operate were affected directly by the hurricane, and we want to help everyone in those areas recover as quickly and completely as possible," said Eric Eckholdt, Executive Director of the Credit Suisse Americas Foundation. "Credit Suisse and its employees have a long history of providing support for disaster relief following events such as Hurricane Irene, and our thoughts continue to be with all those impacted by this devastating event."
