LOS ANGLES and NEW YORK, May 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- What do you get when you ask the wildly talented creatives of the post-production community to display their personal artwork for two nights? Magic.
Earlier this month, over 50 artists from the post-production community displayed their personal artworks in galleries in New York and Los Angeles. Editors, Post Producers, Sound Designers, Visual Effects Artists and Colorists behind films and shows such as Vinyl, Sex and the City, Titanic, Wall-E, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Money Monster all came together for the bi-coastal art show, displaying nearly 100 pieces of artwork—from political pieces to kinetic and musical abstract sculptures, and even a self-aware exploration rover.
Curated and presented by visual effects company, The Molecule, The Art of Post drew over 400 attendees and accolades from organizations and associations within the post-production industry.
"I knew I had some talented colleagues, but that doesn't even begin to describe the creativity in the room. Being able to see the variety of artwork and range of mediums was not only awe-inspiring, it left us speechless," says Lauren F. Ellis, The Art of Post's Co-Creator and Producer at The Molecule.
The Art of Post is soon to become an annual event with 2017 planning underway. Photos and information on participating in next year's show can all be found on The Art of Post website, artofpost.com
