Creative X-Fi Sonic Carrier Now Supports DTS:X®

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Creative Technology Ltd today announced at CES 2018 that it is collaborating with DTS, Inc. to enable its X-Fi Sonic Carrier to have soundbar-specific DTS:X support, which will be available as a firmware upgrade when ready.

TS:X, the latest technology from DTS, delivers immersive moving surround sound; and now includes a height element. DTS:X places sound where it would occur naturally in space, creating the most lifelike, multi-dimensional audio experience ever. This improved immersion and heightened realism makes horror movies scarier, comedies more laugh-out-loud, and car chase scenes even more intense. Users will now be able to experience the latest DTS:X and all preceding DTS surround sound content through the Sonic Carrier.

The Sonic Carrier which personifies the Audio of Tomorrow is a powerful home entertainment system with 17 drivers in a 15.2 configuration and 1000W RMS power that works out-of-the-box to deliver a fuss-free powerful audio solution, giving the added edge over more complex solutions with multiple discrete speakers and messy wiring.
