Now through October 11, 2012, the makers of Jif® Peanut Butter are inviting families to spend time together in the kitchen to create an original sandwich recipe and enter the 11th Annual Jif Most Creative Sandwich Contest™. Parents can submit their kids' - ages six to 12 - creative sandwich recipes for a chance to win a $25,000 college fund.

For the first time ever, the contest entrants will have the option to think outside the peanut shell and enter a sandwich recipe with the NEW Jif Chocolate Flavored Hazelnut Spread or Jif Mocha Cappuccino Flavored Hazelnut Spread.

Last year, 8-year-old Mallory R. from Hilton Head Island, SC was awarded the grand prize. Her creative recipe, the P-Nutty BBQ Chicken Quesadilla, earned her a $25,000 college fund, plus an additional $10,000 for educational products in honor of the contest's 10th anniversary.
About the Contest
- From July 26, 2012 through October 11, 2012, parents can submit their child's creative recipe online at Jif.com by completing the contest entry form.
- Sandwiches will be judged on the following criteria: creativity, taste, visual appeal and ease of preparation.
- Each original sandwich recipe submitted must contain at least two tablespoons of Jif Peanut Butter or Jif Hazelnut Spread.
- Entries must be submitted online by 11:59 a.m. on October 11, 2012.
- Ten semifinalists will be chosen in November 2012 and will participate in a nationwide online vote beginning January 2013. Five finalists will then be determined to attend an event in New York City, where the contest grand prize winner will be announced.
