Crawford Names Marc Godfrey to Manage GTS(SM) Operations in Brazil
ATLANTA, Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRDA; CRDB), the world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions, has named Marc Godfrey manager of Global Technical Services (GTS) in Brazil. He will be based in Sao Paulo and will report to Mauricio Alonso, senior vice president and regional managing director for Latin America, and also work with Bill Johnstone, senior vice president for GTS – Americas.
Godfrey, who joined Crawford in 2008, has focused on adjusting high-profile construction and energy claims for GTS, Crawford's definitive solution for large, complex claims that provides the highest level of world-class talent to strategically manage losses around the globe. He has managed losses in many regions, including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South America and the Caribbean.
Before coming to Crawford, Godfrey worked for more than 10 years on international construction claims for two other major claims adjusting organizations. He began his career with the Chicago Bridge & Iron Co., constructing liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas tanks in Ireland, Holland, England and the United Arab Emirates, and also served as a surveyor for Skanska in Portugal.
Godfrey belongs to the Chartered Institute of Building, a 47,000-member international organization of building professionals, and attended a training course at the Petroleum Extension Service (PETEX) Rig School at The University of Texas at Austin. PETEX develops, produces and delivers technical and nontechnical training courses, publications, and online training materials for the oil and gas industry.
