Crawford Launches Global Technical Services in Mexico
ATLANTA and MEXICO CITY, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRDA; CRDB), the world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions, has formally launched its Global Technical Services (GTS(SM)) division in Mexico to more effectively manage large and complex claims from the growing insurance market in the region.
"We are seeing significant growth in Mexico and throughout Latin America, and we are formalizing our GTS presence in the country to better serve our clients," said Mauricio Alonso, chief executive officer of Crawford's Latin American and Caribbean operations. "Our loss adjusters have the experience and industry focus to evaluate, assess and mitigate damages as quickly as possible. Crawford & Company de Mexico SA de CV, Crawford's arm in Mexico and one of the largest independent loss adjusters in the country, recently marked the GTS launch with a conference for the insurance and reinsurance market held at the Club France in Mexico City. "We believe that it helps reinforce our position as a leader in claims management in Mexico and look forward to continuing to improve the services we offer."
The conference featured several presentations on Crawford capabilities. Mike Skingsley, head of international construction for GTS and liaison for Crawford's Latin American operations in the London market, discussed international construction and engineering losses.
Also presenting were GTS Senior Vice President Andries Willemse, who spoke about Crawford's response to last year's catastrophes in Japan and Thailand, and Executive General Adjuster Marc Godfrey, who discussed renewable energy. Kimsi gave a presentation on handling catastrophic claims for government entities and also gave an overview of operations in the country.
