Crawford & Company Names New Head of e-Learning Services

ATLANTA, March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Training and business development executive Douglas F. Dell has joined Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRDA; CRDB), the world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions, in a newly created position as senior vice president of e-Learning Services.

Prior to joining Crawford, Dell served as vice president of global learning for NCR, managing NCR University and all learning programs for the company. Before moving to Atlanta, he spent eight years with Philips Healthcare as the global director of learning services, during which he supported more than 250,000 customers and also served as a board member of the New England Learning Association.

After graduating from Pace University's Lubin School of Business with an MBA in marketing management, Dell served in a number of senior marketing and business development roles at Bell Atlantic. He entered the education industry as executive vice president of marketing for ePals.com, a platform provider to the K-12 market. In 2001, he became a member of the business and management faculty of the University of Phoenix, where he continues to teach organizational behavior and marketing at the graduate level.

After acquiring e-learning capabilities in 2007, Crawford expanded its already extensive training and educational services for the loss adjusting industry into a new knowledge management center called KMC On Demand(SM) (www.kmcondemand.com). Since that time, KMC has added to its course offerings and functionality and recently partnered with a key industry advisory committee to release the first Property Technical Certification (PTC) course to the insurance industry.
