TORONTO, May 27, 2015 /CNW/ - Canada's premium TV streaming service CraveTVTM confirmed today that its hit slacker comedy DEADBEAT has been renewed for Season 3. DEADBEAT, starring Brampton, Ont. native Tyler Labine, launched with Seasons 1 and 2 in April and is now one of the streaming services most popular comedies. DEADBEAT is one of many CraveTV exclusive series, including MANHATTAN, BOSCH, and HAPPYISH. From the same studio that delivered MAD MEN and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, DEADBEAT Season 3 will debut on CraveTV at a later date.
"Not surprisingly, Tyler Labine and DEADBEAT have made an instant impact on CraveTV since the series premiered exclusively in Canada last month," said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, Programming, CraveTV. "We're happy to announce the return of this supernatural slacker series and an all new Season 3 roster of ghostly episodes."

In the half-hour comedy, Labine stars as deadbeat pothead and medium-for-hire Kevin "Pac" Pacalioglu. There is no request too strange for "Pac" who puts in the least amount of effort to help even the most frivolous ghosts finish their unfinished business – as long as he makes a quick buck.
DEADBEAT also stars Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) as Roofie, Kevin's drug dealer and only friend, and Cat Deeley (SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE) as the commercially successful medium Camomile White.
DEADBEAT Season 2 guest stars included James Franco and Danny DeVito, along with Fred Armisen (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), Michael Ian Black (THE STATE, ED), Gilbert Gottfried (Aladdin), Jim Norton (LOUIE, INSIDE AMY SCHUMER), Zachary Levi (CHUCK), and Finn Wittrock (Unbroken).
DEADBEAT is produced by Lionsgate Television Inc. in association with Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment and Dakota Pictures.
