CleanEquity Monaco is an annual invitation-only event hosted by Innovator Capital, the London based specialist investment bank.

Included in the selected projects from the University to be presented at CleanEquity Monaco 2016 is the Nano Membrane Toilet. It is designed for single-household use (equivalent to 10 people) with a primary remit of providing sanitation to the 2.5 billion people in developing countries currently without access to safe sanitation. The toilet is designed to treat human waste without the need for external energy or water. The waste is separated into water and solids using hollow-fibre membranes. The pathogen free water can be used for household tasks, the solids are transported by a mechanical screw into an internal gasifier for conversation into energy to power the toilet.
