Craig Martin, C.C.M., Honored as Most Valuable Member by CMAA Florida Chapter

BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- St. Andrews Country Club officially congratulated Craig Martin, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager, shortly after he was presented with the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) Most Valuable Member Award from the Florida Chapter in Orlando. The award honors those members whose service to the Chapter during the past year was most worthy of recognition. Nominations for the award are submitted by Regional Directors and judged by the Florida Chapter Executive Committee. Martin received the "Jay DiPietro Most Valuable Member Award" from Al Kinkle, President of the CMAA Florida Chapter and General Manager of Lexington Country Club.

Martin has been an active member of the CMAA and earned his Certified Club Manager (C.C.M.) designation early in his career. Over the past 25 years Martin has served the CMAA both locally and nationally in a variety of positions including National CMAA Committee Member: Premier Club Services, Certification and Club Champion Golf Tournament, Florida Chapter Board of Governors, Regional Director and Legislative Chairman, Co-Chairman - Club Foundation Fundraising Committee and Strategic Planning Committee Member for six consecutive years. Martin is frequently invited as a guest speaker to various educational assemblies including the CMAA World Conference and well-known universities.
The Club Managers Association of America is the professional Association for managers of membership clubs. CMAA has close to 7,000 members across the United States and approximately 700 members in the Florida Chapter. Manager members run more than 3,000 country, golf, city, athletic, faculty, yacht, town and military clubs.
