LEBANON, Tenn., July 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store's overarching business strategy to expand its footprint and bring the Cracker Barrel experience to more guests, the company will open its first location in Nevada with its Las Vegas store on Monday, July 25, at 6 a.m. A second store will open in North Las Vegas in September.
In celebration of opening day, the Board of Commissioners of Clark County, Nevada issued a proclamation declaring Monday, July 25, 2016 "Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Day" throughout Greater Las Vegas and Clark County.
"I'm thrilled to finally welcome Cracker Barrel to Las Vegas and to Nevada," said Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager, who represents the area where the new store is located. "There are many happy people in Las Vegas today. The anticipation has been building for a long time. I think it'll be so successful that Cracker Barrel will want to open a dozen more restaurants here."
The 10,000 square-foot store located at 8350 Dean Martin Drive will be open Sunday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. With this location, Cracker Barrel brings approximately 212 full and part-time jobs to the area. This marks the first store in the state and 639th nationwide.
Robert Ramsey has been named general manager. Ramsey has been a part of the Cracker Barrel family for 17 years and was most recently the general manager of the Cracker Barrel in Northglenn, Colorado.
"By bringing Cracker Barrel to Nevada and the Las Vegas community, we're able to share our love of country cooking and genuine hospitality with a new area of the country," Ramsey said. "From the way we carefully source gifts in our stores, to the music we play, to the way we make our from-scratch biscuits, every choice in a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is made deliberately to create a consistent experience that makes people feel at home when they walk in our door. We think that's particularly important in a city like Las Vegas known for its traveling guests and locals alike."
At Cracker Barrel, breakfast is available all day with lunch and dinner options beginning at 11 a.m. Cracker Barrel serves authentic, high-quality, homestyle meals prepared from scratch like homemade chicken n' dumplins and also offers a full Wholesome Fixin's menu of classic country meals with a lighter twist – full of flavor and under 600 calories.
Each Cracker Barrel location is uniquely decorated with approximately 1,000 real American artifacts, memorabilia and signage collected by a team of experts. The walls of Cracker Barrel stores reflect the nation's rich history and by tailoring elements to the local community, offer a homespun appeal for local residents. In Las Vegas, guests will see localized pieces that pay homage to fashion, movies and travel, as well as Las Vegas' staple entertainment – gambling.
Along with dining in a place that invokes the senses and invites memories, Cracker Barrel guests enjoy shopping in the old country store for toys, games, food items, apparel, accessories and other unique items. Cracker Barrel collects inspiration from all parts of life and shares that with guests through well-curated collections designed around compelling themes. Gift wrapping is complimentary and purchases can be shipped directly from the store.
Cracker Barrel is known for providing a friendly, home-away-from-home atmosphere and serves an average of 1,000 guests a day in its 639 restaurants and old country stores located in 43 states.
