C.R. England Expands Regional Division to Chicago

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- C.R. England, a leader in global transportation, has expanded its Regional Division with the creation of a new service offering short haul transportation strategically centered in the greater Chicagoland area.

"The expansion of our Regional Division allows us to break into a growing market and meet the demands of our customers in concentrated networks with shorter length of haul.  We are also building a work life model which addresses driver needs for time at home and therefore brings more capacity into the market," said William Champine, Vice President, Regional.

The Regional Division offers reliable, short haul transportation services that deliver increased capacity, surge capabilities and better, more reliable deliveries, as drivers are based locally and are familiar with the routes. Chicago Regional will focus on the Midwest and service a primary radius of 250 miles around Chicago, as well as a handful of additional cities outside the area.  The service will open a crucial door to meet the high demands for capacity in this heavy traffic region.

C.R. England has a fully staffed facility located in southern Chicago.  The fleet is approaching 50 trucks and will expand to more than 100 trucks in the first quarter of 2011.  Additionally, C.R. England will utilize day cabs and light weight equipment which will allow payloads that approach 50,000 pounds.  

C.R. England has a Western Regional that provides coverage in the concentrated hubs of SCA and Utah, and will continue expansion into a total of five regional markets throughout the United States.
