WASHINGTON, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CQ-Roll Call Group is pleased to announce that Fred Barbash will join its team as deputy managing editor of CQ Weekly magazine on Sept. 20.

Mr. Barbash is a well-respected and experienced journalist who served as national editor and business editor at the Washington Post and deputy editor of the newspaper's Outlook section. While at the Post, he also worked as a national reporter, Supreme Court correspondent and headed the London bureau. He taught at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism from 2006 to 2008.
Most recently, Barbash was a senior editor at Politico, where he created and ran the online political forum The Arena.
A native Washingtonian, he resides in the District of Columbia with his wife, Serena Simons, who is an attorney, and his son. His daughter lives in Cambridge, Mass.
