COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP and their Family Wealth & Estate Planning Group are proud to announce that Attorney, Brittany Pace, successfully passed the February 2017 Florida State Bar Examination and is now officially licensed in both Ohio and Florida. Franklin County Probate Judge, The Honorable Robert Montgomery, made some time in his busy courtroom schedule yesterday to administer Brittany's Florida Bar oath and recognize her accomplishment. Brittany is among only 57.7 percent of those who passed the most recent exam in Florida this year.
For the last thirty-five years, CPM has had an attorney on staff with an active Florida license. Brittany will be the third current attorney at CPM with a Florida license, but will be the only member of the Family Wealth & Estate Planning Group to be licensed there.
CPM is excited to offer services to clients with Florida estate planning, estate administration and trust administration needs. Specifically, the firm is happy to assist with the following: (1) preparation of Florida Healthcare Directives, Florida Powers of Attorney, Florida Wills, and Florida Trusts; (2) Florida real estate transfers; (3) planning for the administration and/or continued ownership of Florida vacation homes; (4) obtaining and maintaining Florida residency for income tax purposes; (5) Florida probate and ancillary administrations; and (6) Florida trust administrations.
Ms. Pace joined Carlile Patchen & Murphy and their Family Wealth & Estate Planning Group in 2016. Prior to her position at CPM, she was with the firm of Onda LaBuhn Rankin & Boggs Co., LPA where she concentrated her practice on estate planning matters.
Ms. Pace received a bachelor of science (BS) in business administration from The Ohio State University and went on to receive her Juris Doctorate (JD) from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Women's Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association. Brittany was also a Staff Editor and an Executive Editor of The Ohio State Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal, 2012-2014, and a member of Moot Court at the Moritz College of Law.
