CPA Global Honoured for Innovation in Outsourcing
ST HELIER, Jersey, July 19, 2010 /PRNewswire/ --
- Leading Legal Services Outsourcing Provider Wins European Outsourcing Association Award
CPA Global, the world's leading provider of legal services outsourcing (LSO) and intellectual property (IP) management services, has been presented with the Innovation in Outsourcing Award at the European Outsourcing Association's inaugural 2010 Awards ceremony.
The Award recognises CPA Global's ground-breaking partnership with international mining corporation Rio Tinto, which has helped the Anglo-Australian company to reduce its annual legal spend by more than $14 million within the first year of the relationship by outsourcing legal work such as contract review and transaction support to teams of CPA Global lawyers in India and the USA.
Commenting on the Award, Martyn Hart, Board Member of The European Outsourcing Association and Chairman of the UK's National Outsourcing Association, said: "The legal services outsourcing industry has grown considerably in recent years and the partnership between CPA Global and Rio Tinto has played a key role in helping the legal sector to realise the benefits outsourcing can bring. The judging panel for this year's European Outsourcing Association Awards was particularly impressed with the new legal model that CPA Global developed with Rio Tinto, and the smooth integration of outsourcing into the mining corporation's approach to legal services."
CPA Global's Director of Legal Services Outsourcing, Leah Cooper, said: "Our work with Rio Tinto is widely acknowledged to have put legal services outsourcing on the map, and we are delighted that the European Outsourcing Association has recognised the impact the partnership has had in helping shape the future legal landscape. For corporate legal teams who've seen the value and cost efficiencies that can be delivered through LSO, there is no going back. Outsourcing is here to stay. It's a fast evolving sector and CPA Global will continue to work with our clients to develop innovative solutions to their legal services requirements, both on-shore and off-shore."
The success of CPA Global's work with Rio Tinto and other clients as well as its ability to provide a true, multi-shore offering is attracting a growing number of corporations to the firm's LSO business from a wide range of industrial sectors, including telecommunications and technology, pharmaceutical and healthcare, construction, consumer goods and financial services.
