Coyote Ugly Saloon Signs Area Development Agreement Covering Russia and the Ukraine
NEW ORLEANS, May 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Coyote Ugly Saloon, the most famous bar on the planet, announced that it has signed an area development agreement covering the entire Russian Federation, plus the Ukraine. The developer, which has already opened Coyote Ugly Saloons in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia, has agreed to open an additional six (6) Saloons.
"I am really excited to be expanding internationally and especially into Russia where the entrepreneurial spirit seems alive and well," commented Liliana Lovell, Coyote Ugly Saloon's founder and president. "Our partner in Russia has done a wonderful job with the first two Saloons they opened in Moscow and St. Petersburg. I am sure that their next Saloon, which is scheduled to open June 8 in Kazan, will be a huge success also."
Lovell also announced that she is looking for qualified area developers to help with Coyote Ugly Saloon's expansion into Europe, as well as Asia.
The bartenders at Coyote Ugly serve a little bit of attitude with the drinks and are known for their dance routines on top of the bar. Lovell opened the first Coyote Ugly Saloon in New York's East Village in 1993. In 2000, the movie "Coyote Ugly", which was based on the New York Coyote Ugly Saloon, was released and went on to gross over $100M worldwide. In 2006 Country Music Television (CMT) broadcast the first of three seasons of the reality television series, The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search, starring Ms. Lovell and her Coyote bartenders, and today there are 16 locations with more on the way.
