Cox, USO and Area Food Banks Partner to Hold Special "Thank You" Food Drive for the Military
Visit any Cox Solutions Store from Mon., Nov. 21 - Thurs., Dec. 8 to drop-off non-perishable food items
CHESAPEAKE, Va., Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications, in partnership with the USO of Hampton Roads/Central Virginia and the Food Banks of Southeastern Virginia the Virginia Peninsula, are partnering to hold a special holiday "thank you" food drive in support of the military of Hampton Roads.
The "thank you" drive will be held from Monday, November 21 to Thursday, December 8. For this effort, the community is asked to bring non-perishable food items to any area Cox Solutions Store. This activity is intended to pay special tribute to the military during the 2011 holiday season.
Most needed non-perishable food items are as follows:
- Canned proteins (chicken, tuna, beans, etc)
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruits
- Canned pasta meals
- Peanut Butter
