Cox Opens Retail 'Solutions' Kiosk in MacArthur Center in Downtown Norfolk, VA
CHESAPEAKE, Va., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, September 17, 2010 at 9:45 a.m., Cox Communications will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting for its new Retail "Solutions" Kiosk in the MacArthur Center, 300 Monticello Avenue, Norfolk, VA. The new solutions kiosk is the first of its kind within Cox Communications nationally, and is an important element in Cox's roll-out of new products and services to the public.
"We are excited to provide our customers with the new site in the center of the City of Norfolk. It will allow even more interaction opportunities with our outstanding Solutions Specialists," said Gary McCollum, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cox Virginia. "We are certain that this new site also will offer even more convenience and accessibility for our valued customers."
The kiosk is part of new facility expansions planned throughout Hampton Roads in 2010 and 2011. Benefits and features of the site include the ability for customers to discuss account options and technical questions with a Solutions Specialist, to pay bills, and to purchase accessories.

Also, Cox has arranged for additional activities for its grand opening weekend. Those who attend Cox's ribbon cutting ceremonies on the 17th at 9:45 a.m. are eligible to also enter special prize drawings for ceremony attendees. (You must arrive before 9:30 a.m. to get a raffle ticket.) Prizes for the grand opening weekend include flat-screen HD televisions, video party packs, and numerous other prizes. Additionally, MacArthur Center tenants also will be part of the festivities with dedicated prize drawings for them as well. McCollum added, "Starting on the 17th and going through the entire weekend, we will have a number of different opportunities for community engagement. We invite the community to come to the grand opening and have reached out to civic groups in Norfolk – particularly in the downtown area."
