Cox Offers New Channels to Hampton Roads Customers
~Channel enhancements include the launch of SWRV and Filipino On Demand~
CHESAPEAKE, Va., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Between February 10 and 12th, Cox will offer several new channels and will also roll out many channel enhancements. With these upgrades, Cox now provides the 35 highest-rated channels available in HD. In total, Cox now offers 72 HD channels.

Below is a listing of the channels to be launched:
- MSNBC HD (channel 723)
- MSNBC has been providing 24 hour news content and information for more than 20 years to millions of viewers daily.
- More Max HD (channel 862)
- MoreMAX HD is an expansion to the popular Cinemax movie channel and provides popular films and rare gems to complement the Cinemax line-up.
- The Movie Channel/TMC HD (channel 878)
- THE MOVIE CHANNEL™ HD is an expansion to the popular Showtime movie channel and provides the true movie theater experience. Discover the best in full-spectrum quality 1080i high definition and mind-blowing Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.
- Comcast SportsNet HD (channel 735 In Hampton Roads; channel 702 in West Point, New Kent & King & Queen County)
- Comcast SportsNet is a regional sports network that is the official television home of the Washington Redskins, Capitals, Wizards, DC United, Atlantic Coast Conference and Colonial Athletic Association. In addition to their live game coverage, the network also provides daily sports news, analysis and entertainment programming.
- Cox HD
- Includes MASN2 HD which includes many games from the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles (channel 737)
- Until baseball season starts, Cox HD will contain a slate describing the future content.
- SWRV Music Choice channel (channel 900)
- Interactive music video network from Music Choice that lets you take control. 24/7 interactivity, the hottest music videos, and your chance to be a star on the network. This channel will require the Variety tier.
Enhancements to the On Demand platform include the following:
- Filipino Channel On Demand It is available for free to subscribers of the Filipino Channel and contains award-winning Pinoy classics, blockbuster hits, touching miniseries and live concerts.
- Shalom TV in the FreeZone/Faith and Values category. Shalom TV is America's first national Jewish cable television network covering the panorama of Jewish life, including information on Jewish traditions, culture and history.
Finally, coming very soon will be two new Subscription Video-on-Demand offerings; they are The Jewish Channel ($6.99/month) and Bollywood Hits on Demand ($9.99).
