Cox Hampton Roads Wins Two PRSA Awards for its 'Hampton Roads Black List,' Aired on Cox 11
CHESAPEAKE, Va., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- In awards competitions held by both the Hampton Roads Virginia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Richmond PRSA Chapter, Cox Communications' Hampton Roads Black List was recognized. The Hampton Roads Black List is a 2009 documentary, which shows the stories of trial and triumph of African-Americans barrier breakers from the Greater Hampton Roads region; this documentary is based on the award-winning HBO documentaries (Black List Volumes I and II).
Through Richmond PRSA's statewide Commonwealth Awards Competition, Cox was honored with an "Award of Merit" for Hampton Roads Black List.
Now in its 63rd year, this Virginia public relations awards program recognizes stellar public relations and communications activities based on excellence and innovation in research, planning, execution and evaluation.
Through the Hampton Roads Virginia PRSA Pinnacle Awards Program, Cox's Black List was honored with an "Honorable Mention." Pinnacle awards are granted for both strategic programs and individual tactical projects demonstrating the highest standards of excellence. Entries were judged on criteria such as research, planning, creativity, technical excellence and outcome measures.
