CHESAPEAKE, Va., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications Hampton Roads is pleased to announce the launch of its official Facebook page. The new Facebook page provides updates on new promotions and service offerings, community activities, and provides an outlet for customers to communicate with the company through social media.

Cox's new Facebook page contains a variety of features including:
- Three special tabs called In the Home, In the Community and In Business that each contain targeted information for residential, business, and community audiences. Also, they include discussion opportunities where feedback is solicited from fans and friends.
- A "Who Said That" contest game that provides chances to win prizes by participating. It is featured on the In the Home tab.
- Useful tips on Cox content and service upgrades. For example, Cox's recently launched channel SWRV. It is a new product offering that hinges on audience participation. It features 10 different interactive programs and offers viewers the opportunity to submit user-generated content, and to vote for and rate videos. Facebook is available for customers interested in general updates on that product and how it works. A review of the new "My Primetime" feature is also discussed. My Primetime gives free next day access to episodes of top rated primetime hits from networks like ABC, NBC, Cartoon Network and FX and more.
