Cox Communications Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire Tulsa-based EasyTEL
Strategic acquisition to benefit Tulsa businesses with fiber-rich network, industry-leading product and service offerings
TULSA, Okla., Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire EasyTEL Communications, a provider of voice, data and video services to commercial customers in the Tulsa market.
The acquisition provides Cox Business with a deeper metropolitan fiber network and further enables the company to provide the businesses of Tulsa with enhanced technology solutions and a commitment to the best customer experience in the industry. After the transaction closes, Cox Business will emerge with a network in the Tulsa market that covers approximately 95,000 fiber route miles, connects over 21,000 on-net buildings and serves commercial customers across all industries and sizes.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
